Welcome Contestants! Below are information for viewing or download for the events at Smokey Bear Stampede. Please feel free to contact us with questions if you need further clarification.

All Entries are Cash Money (No Checks!)

Open Rodeo July 1, 2, 3, & 4 at 7:30pm (with slack performance to follow).

Entries are taken daily from 4-6pm for nightly perf at Rodeo Office south of the arena across the creek. Contact Nick Peters (806-241-5422) with Flying C Rodeo Company for more info.

"OPTIONAL" AVERAGE JACKPOT

$2500 added to each event (excluding #10 Incentive Roping) average. All events in the open rodeo include an optional average jackpot for a one-time $100 fee with 90% payback in each event. Three times/scores will be used to calculate the average, so drop your worst or miss a perf to still play in the average. Added money to 1st and 2nd place in the average in all events, excluding the #10 Incentive Team Roping. 

#10 Incentive Team Roping during 7:30pm performance and slack.

Capped at #5 heeler, limited to 15 teams, need to have proof of number. Five will run in perf, remaining 10 to run in slack.

Ranch Rodeo July 3 & 4 at Noon

Entry fee is $500. Entries limited to 16 teams, and no places will be held until a $200 deposit is received. Please make checks payable to Lincoln County Fair Association (or LCFA). Events may be altered due to available stock. There will be a Team Captain's meeting at 11:00 on the 3rd. Every contestant must sign a waiver and all entry fees must be paid in full before rodeo starts. Friday July 3 is Pink Day, in support of Cowboys for Cancer Research (C4CR), BRING YOUR PINK SHIRTS!

 Optional Ranch Bronc Riding -- Immediately after ranch rodeo, entry fee $100, Limit 5. Nice hoppers, night latches permitted. $100 added money per contestant. All money paid back.

Youth Ranch Rodeo July 2 at Noon

Draw Pot Youth Ranch Rodeo open to boys and girls 9 through 18 years of age. Limited to first 24 kids, and teams will be drawn at the meeting at 11:00 a.m. Entry fee is $25 per contestant and due by June 25. Entries can be mailed to Renee Montes, Box 74, Hondo, NM 88336.
